Lights, Camera, STOP!

The third and fourth grade have been working on a stop motion video for around three weeks.

It was the first stop motion they have done using stick figures!

As as result, it took two weeks drawing everything and planning out each scene.

Bryanna Salinger works on her stop motion figures

Luke LaVerne and Ruth Jordan

Luke studies his pictures

Ruth compares her pictures to see if the movements will match up

Leona Lewis drawing her stick figures

Bryanna, Johanna, Leona, Luke, and Ruth all working on their stop motion.
Sadly, Mary was ill.

General goofiness...
Finally everything was done! Time for a group photo!
The second grade language class helped with the editing too!

Funday Wednesday!

"Funday Monday" is the usual catchphrase from Abigail Arbec, but today it was "Funday Wednesday," and here's why:

Giant word search!

A giant spelling word search! Gabriel and Noah did one, and Stephanie and Abigail did the other.

Both teams searching for words

Each word search had ten spelling words hidden inside. Everyone had fun taking turns to look.
Noah searches for the word "wished." Can you spot it?

After Word Search, the kids sat down and found an old picture!
"Miss Esther who is this?" "Miss Esther is that Hannah?"

Time for study games outside!

Discussing the question amongst themselves

And then it was time for reading Pinocchio and coloring.

The Average Day

Here is a peek into the average school day for the third and fourth grade's language class.

We always start out with good old book work

Mrs. Nelson is always ready to help the students in need

What would the day be without a little Spanish lesson?

And of course, the odd bit
of tomfoolery!

Stop Motion!

Today, the second grade class made their second stop motion video! Having just learned about contractions, it was decided that this would be the topic of the video.
Letters were colored in and cut out, and we started taking pictures!

Gabriel, Noah, and Abigail going over the motions for the video
Everyone had a job to do!
Everyone gathered around the desk, getting ready for their special jobs.
Noah and Gabriel move letters, while Abby and Stephanie get the next word ready
All hands on deck!
And here is the finished product!
